- Hatch and Getahead, two innovative job matching platforms, secure substantial funding for their AI-driven approaches to job hunting.
- Hatch’s focus on deeper insights into candidates’ skills and values leads to higher interview rates and top-notch hires, while Getahead’s Tinder-style interface promises quick and efficient job matching.
- Both platforms aim to revolutionize the job search experience for Gen Z and beyond, emphasizing meaningful work and efficient connections between employers and candidates.
Hatch, a smart job-matching app made by the students who started Zip Co and THE ICONIC, just got a whopping $7 million in funding. This is a huge! because they’ve been growing like crazy, and up 20% every month for two years straight!
Started back in 2018 by Chaz Heitner from Zip Co and Adam Jacobs from THE ICONIC, Hatch is changing how people find jobs. It’s not just about sending in your boring old CV. They look at your skills, what you care about, and what gets you motivated. This helps them match you with jobs you’ll like. And people who apply through Hatch are three times more likely to get an interview compared to other job sites!
Right now, Hatch works with big names like Woolworths, Airtasker, Qantas, and more. They’ve got over 150,000 people using their platform, and companies love it because over 90% of the hires they make through Hatch turn out to be top-notch employees.
Adam Jacobs, one of the founders, says that traditional CVs can be misleading. What really matters are your skills and personality. He’s pumped to help Gen Z find jobs where they feel like they belong and can grow.
And hey, don’t believe the hype about AI stealing jobs. According to Jacobs, it’s actually helping people find jobs they love. He reckons AI is changing everything – from how we find entertainment to how we date. And now, it’s making job hunting easier too.
The $7 million they just got in funding is going to help them grow even more. They’re planning to spread their reach across Australia, improve their matching tech, and bring in more companies and job seekers.
Taryn Pieterse, from the company that led the funding, says Hatch is one of the coolest startups she’s seen. She’s all about using AI to make things better, and Hatch is doing just that.
Another guy, David Alberts, thinks Hatch is making a real difference by helping young people find meaningful work. His company is all about equality, and Hatch is on the same page by helping diverse candidates connect with employers based on what matters to them.
But Hatch isn’t the only app shaking things up in the job world. There’s also Getahead, a job app that works like Tinder. You swipe, chat, and match with jobs you like. It’s super quick too! some people get hired in less than 30 minutes!
Started by Sam McNamara, Getahead is getting tons of attention. Big companies like Nike and Samsung are using it to find new hires fast. And get this – they’ve had a crazy 100 million views since December 2023!
McNamara says most of their users are young, and they’re adding thousands of new job seekers every month.
