- Despite mixed reviews for “Madame Web,” Dakota prioritizes her well-being over critics’ opinions.
Dakota Johnson, the famous actress known for her role in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” has decided not to watch her latest movie, “Madame Web.” In an interview with MagicFM, she said she’s not sure when she’ll see it, and she might not watch it at all.
This might surprise some people because usually, actors watch their own movies. But Dakota explained that she doesn’t like to watch any of her films because it makes her feel weird. She said not watching her movies is like taking care of herself.
Dakota isn’t the only actor who feels this way. Other big stars like Meryl Streep, Adam Driver, Emma Stone, and Nicole Kidman have also said they don’t like watching their own movies.
In “Madame Web,” Dakota plays a character who can see the future and helps people as a paramedic. The movie is part of Sony Pictures’ Marvel-related films, like the Venom movies and “Morbius” with Jared Leto.
But even though Dakota isn’t watching “Madame Web,” some people are. Critics have given the movie bad reviews, with only a 13 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
When asked if she Googles herself, Dakota said no way. She thinks it’s a bad idea.
Dakota’s decision not to watch her own movies might seem strange to some people, but for her, it’s a way to stay happy and avoid feeling strange about herself. And even though “Madame Web” isn’t getting great reviews, Dakota is staying true to her self-care routine.
