UFC 300 has its big match! Dana White, the CEO of UFC, just announced it on social media after UFC 298. Alex Pereira, the UFC light heavyweight champ, will face Jamahal Hill in the main event on April 13 in Las Vegas.
Pereira, ranked No. 7 on ESPN’s list, is a former UFC middleweight champ. He made history by winning titles in two divisions in just seven fights. Pereira, from Brazil, is known for his knockout power. He won the 205-pound belt by beating Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. Before that, he became the middleweight champ by knocking out Israel Adesanya in 2022.
Hill, from Chicago, is also a former champ. He had to give up his title because of a torn Achilles tendon. But now he’s back and ready to fight. Hill has won his last four fights, including a win over Glover Teixeira for the title in January 2023.
This match is going to be epic! And it’s not the only title fight on the card. Justin Gaethje will defend his BMF belt against Max Holloway, and Zhang Weili will put her UFC women’s strawweight title on the line against Yan Xiaonan.
UFC 300 is shaping up to be one of the biggest events in UFC history. Fans can’t wait to see who will come out on top in these exciting matches!
